Lentil Pilaf

ham Cut into thin strips

Ounces fully cooked smoked

Olive or vegetable oil

Dried lentils

Tomato, seeded and chopped
Method:
Heat water and lentils to boiling; reduce heat.
Cover and simmer 25 to 30 minutes or until lentils are tender but not mushy; drain.
Heat oil in 10-inch skillet until hot.
Add lentils, ham, salt, pepper and garlic.
Cook 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Cook and stir 2 minutes or until mixture is hot.
