Glazed Canadian Bacon

Whole Canadian bacon

Apple cider
1/2
c
Maple syrup

Dry mustard
Method:
garnish whole cloves Preheat oven to 325 deg.
Set bacon in baking pan and pour apple cider* over.
Bake 14 minutes per pound, basting bacon with pan juices every 15 minutes.
Whisk maple syrup and mustard in small bowl.
About 15 minutes before end of baking time, score outside of bacon diagonally to form diamonds.
Stud decoratively with cloves.
Brush with syrup mixture and continue baking until brown and well glazed, basting once or twice.
Transfer to heated platter.
Slice thinly to serve.
*Can substitute other unsweetened fruit juice, beer or ginger ale.
