Noodles And Baked Beans

Ingredients:



For the noodles and baked beans:
450 gms baked beans
2 teacups boiled egg noodles
3 teacups white sauce
1 onion, chopped
2 green chillies, chopped
4 tbsp grated cooking cheese
2 egg-whites
2 tbsp ghee
1 sliced brinjal
ghee for deep frying
salt to taste
For the white sauce:
3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp plain flour
3 teacups milk
salt and pepper to taste

Method:


For the white sauce:
Melt the butter, put the flour and cook for 2 minutes without browning and keep
on stirring throughout.
Take out from the heat and gradually add the milk.
Combine until well blended.
Return to heat and cook slowly, stirring throughout until the sauce thickens.
Put salt and pepper and mix properly.
For the noodles and baked beans:
Heat the ghee and sauté the onion for some time.
Put the chillies and sauté again.
Put the baked beans and cook for at least 2 to 3 minutes.
Combine the noodles white sauce, and half of the grated cheese.
Beat the egg-whites stiffly and add to the noodles.
Grease a baking dish, spread the beans and cover with the noodles.
Deep fry the brinjal slices in ghee.
Make a border of the brinjal slices and cover with the remaining cheese.
Dot with butter and bake in a hot oven at 450ºF for 20 minutes.
Ready to serve.
