Dinner Rolls

Ingredients:



450 gms maida
25 gms ghee or margarine or butter
20 gms fresh yeast or 2 tsp dry yeast
1½ tsp sugar
1 tsp sugar

Method:



Sieve the maida properly.
Combine the sugar and yeast in 1 teacup of warm water and stir until the yeast
get dissolves.
Put this liquid to the maida and make a soft dough by using some more warm water.

Knead the dough for 6 to 7 minutes. Combine the ghee and salt properly.
Put to the dough and mix properly.
Keep the dough in a wet cloth for 20 minutes.
Knead for 1 minute.
Divide the dough into small pieces and shape into rolls.
Keep on a well-greased baking tin leaving enough margin for expansion.
Keep the tin in a closed cupboard for at least 20 minutes.
Bake in a hot oven at 450ºF for 10 minutes. Reduce the temperature to
400ºF and bake for a further 15 to 20 minutes.
Remove from the tin and brush on top with ghee.
Serve hot in folded napkins with butter.
