Apples and Saffron Sauce
Ingredients:
4 sliced apples
1 teaspoon lemon juice
7 teaspoons sugar
¼ teaspoon saffron
Method:
Warm the saffron and rub with a little water until it dissolves.
Add the lemon juice, sugar, ¾ teacup of water and the apples and cook until soft.
Remove the apples and boil the liquid until thick
Spread the sauce over the apples.
Serve hot or cold.
