Lentil Soup
Ingredients:
2 cups kali masoor
1 large tomato chopped
1 medium onion chopped
2 medium carrots grated
½ cup mixed vegatables, chopped fine
1 tsp jeera powder
2 tsp olive oil
Chopped Coriander for garnish
Water
Salt and pepper to taste
Method:
Saute the onions in olive oil. When they begin to brown add the
chopped tomatoes.
Add the lentils and all vegetables with enough water.
Cover and cook to achieve a liquid consistency keeping it on medium/low heat.
Do stir it once or twice.
Season it and before serving add the jeera powder and stir well.
