Method:
An unusual taste treat, this combination of fruits with the ham is most delicious.
Served with a raw vegetable salad and wholewheat buns, ham with curried fruit is great any time of the year.
One 1/2 inch thick slice of ham per person hot cooked rice Trim excess fat from ham slices and place in a large greased baking dish, big enough to hold them in a single layer.
Pour peach orange nectar over the ham.
Bake 30 minutes at 350F, basting often with the juice.
Remove baking dish from the oven and add pineapple tidbits,peach halves, pear halves, and maraschino cherries over top of ham.
Combine butter, sugar and curry powder and drop mixture by spoonfuls over top of the fruit.
Return to oven and continue baking for 20 minutes, basting often.
Serve pieces of ham topped with fruit over the hot rice.
Spoon baking liquid over all.
