Cookie crumbs, any kind
Method:
Beat egg whites until light but not stiff.
Fold in sugar.
Continue beating until smooth.
Add flavoring and salt.
Fold in nuts and dates.
Pour into well-oiled spring pan, lined with cookie crumbs.
Bake in slow oven (350 F) until firm.
