Molasses - blended with milk

Wholewheat flour

All-purpose flour

Baking powder

Ground ginger

ts
Cinnamon

Nutmeg

Raisins
Method:
Cream shortening with sugar and salt, blend with milk and molasses.
Stir together flours, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Pour liquid ingredients over dry, drop in raisins and stir just enough to moisten flour.
Spoon into well-buttered muffin tins and bake at 400 F for about 20 minutes.
Serve warm.
